I am passionate about justice. The question is often asked: "Jim, how can you represent a client you know is guilty?"

The answer to the question is this: "It is never my job to pass judgment on my client. It is my job to zealously advocate for my client within the bounds of law. What this means is that I investigate the facts being alleged and present my client's defense based upon the evidence. It is the jury's role to determine what the facts are from the evidence. Each element of the crime charged must be proved beyond a reasonable doubt. If each element is not proved  beyond a reasonable doubt then the jury must find that the client is not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and acquit if they are following the law. This duty of the jury to acquit if the case has not been proved beyond a reasonable doubt is the thin line that stands between justice and tyrrany. If we allow anyone to be convicted of a crime without demanding that the case be proved beyond a reasonable doubt, then noone is safe from being deprived of their life or liberty and our freedom as Americans ceases to exist."

If you have been charged with a crime, you need a diligent and aggressive attorney who is ready and willing to stand up for you.
